No. Under the Financial Institutions Act merchant banks in Jamaica are not allowed to offer chequing accounts to customers, however we will make cheque payments upon receipt of properly authorized instructions

Yes. At CCMB, funds placed on all our products (not including Sale & Repo Agreements) are insured by the Jamaica Deposit Insurance Corporation (JDIC). This is an independent statutory organization set up by the Government to protect depositors. Presently all the depositors are protected up to a maximum of J$600,000.00

Yes. If you are unable to visit our branch offices we will send you the documents or you may download them from our website or have an officer visit you if you are within the environs of one of our three branches. These documents should be notarized or stamped by a Justice of the Peace, Notary Public or an Attorney-at-Law.

Yes, but given the current economic climate the proposed borrower must demonstrate an ability to repay.

Capital & Credit Merchant Bank will accept cash (an account at CCMB or CCSL), a motor vehicle that is five years old or less, cash surrender value of an insurance policy assigned to CCMB, real estate or shares.

To apply for a loan at CCMB you will need to complete an application form,  submit a job letter, bank or reference letter, bank statements, as well as complete all account opening documents.

We offer cash secured, motor vehicle, home equity, commercial loans among others.

If you want to withdraw funds from your account you may send us your instructions via fax (assuming you have signed a fax indemnity form) or scan a signed letter and send via email, we will send the funds to any one of the commercial banks near you.

For deposits to your account at CCMB you can credit our account at NCB or BNS and fax or scan a copy of the receipt or deposit slip to us for confirmation. Please call for our banking information.

If you live in Jamaica you can visit any one of our branches in Kingston, Montego Bay or Ocho Rios; complete a customer form, signature card, customer relationship agreement and product profile, these are also available online : click here We will need original or notarised copy of one of these valid national identification (Driver's License, Passport, Voter’s ID) and your Tax Registration Number (TRN) as well as proof of your address and 2 references.

Non-Residents who want to open a Tax-Free account will need to prove their overseas residence. This can be done by submitting a utility bill showing their name and address, as well as submitting notarised copies of all the documents mentioned above.

You may also send us your cheque with instructions to lodge to your account. Cheques are to be made payable to Capital & Credit Merchant Bank.  If they are paid to you, kindly endorse the back.

Capital & Credit Merchant Bank offers a variety of products - each with its own requirement for minimum balances. For example: we have savings type accounts (you may lodge or withdraw at anytime) such as the Capital Investor Plus (CIP) Account which can be opened with a minimum of J$1,000 or US$/CDN/Euro/GBP1,000.00 as well as the higher yielding Capital Supersaver with minimum balance of J$50,000.00 or US$/CDN/Euro/GBP2,000.00.

For a Certificate of Deposit account you will be required to have a minimum of J$20,000 or US$1,000.00;
